Doug Prince

I am interested in the alternative process photographer Doug Prince, particularly his box constructions.  Which display multiple images that have been merged and held together by panels, with light illuminating it.  As Prince’s images transform, so has his perceptions.  I enjoy the fact that his images are two dimensional, yet he prints them so that they are seen as three dimensions.  His compositions are haunting and with the light source so severe it makes his prints seem even more ghostly.  Prince demonstrates his knowledge of classical photography methods and his ability to evolve and create a new technique.
